Holy Moses

Holy Freaking Moses....I trust that there will be English fansubs coming soon for this show. I'm intrigued to find out just how durable these valkyries will be in playwear. I'm even more intrigued on what kind of materials they're made from. I wonder if they're gonna be made out of some POM and a little diecast.

One question, two words:

One question, two words: "Copyright infringement?"

Oh c'mon man, couldn't you just let it slide just this once? Where's your sense of adventure? Have a little enthusiasm with this treat.

China is a desperately poor

China is a desperately poor country considering their population. Their government has chosen not to recognize copyright law because bootleg materials generate a valuable part of the national gross and fits in with communist precepts. Technically, though, the consumer is liable if they purchase bootleg materials if they live in a country where copyright law is enforced. If China can do what Bandai/Yamato does at a lower cost, it will force Bandai/Yamato to regulate cost for collector's items. This would only happen if Bandai/Yamato is inflating production costs, but given the quality of their goods, I don't think they are... much. Besides, these designs are probably different enough to be legally sold in Japan.

Pics aren't loading? Either

Pics aren't loading? Either way, doesn't matter. I'll be all over these like flies to a Joon's Valkyrie.

-Nevermind, must have just been my computer. Seeing the toys does not diminish my enthusiasm.

Astro Plan

I definitely have opinions about Astro Plan but I will wait for the review of the YF-11.

Cheers!

Are these available online

Are these available online yet? A quick glance at ebay and a cursory look at google revealed nothing. I can't express in words how badly I need the purple Senjougahara one.

AP

I just ordered one from Kotoys http://www.kotoys.com/ in China. I have never used them before and don't know anybody who has but they seem to be a reliable company. $44.00 is a lot to take a risk but life is full of risks!

Cheers!

Thanks so much for that

Thanks so much for that link. I had no idea there was a webstore dedicated to knock offs, and I'm pretty thrilled that they have several other Thomas the Tank bootlegs that I've been looking for. I guess I'll find out if they're legit too.

Good Choice

Good choice on wanting the get the purple YF-11, super cool looking aircraft, piloted by female as well.

That's a pretty insane website, I was such in awe of what they carried, the Megazord colored former Panosh Place Lion Voltron took the cake, how could you NOT want a white lion added to your collection!?

Caveat Emptor!!!!

Made in China

China is destined to become the next Super Power.

It will start by taking the toy and model market by storm.

Have you ever heard of Trumpeter Models?

My friends (modellers as well) are buying detailed model kits by Trumpeter at a much lower cost than say Tamiya.

Thank you for the link Leo.

Trumpeter & Hobby Boss

Gren,

Both Trumpeter and Hobby Boss are taking the Military Hobby market by storm. My friends show me their latest kits by both companies and they are just amazing in detail and price especially compared to American and Japanese kit makers. Some of their kits even add more options than Tamiya for less than half the price.

This is one of the points I was going to make in regards to Astro Plan in few weeks. While they might be the butt of jokes right now because of their obvious Japanese influence in due time Chinese Toy makers will be up to par with Hasbro and Bandai, Hobby Boss and Trumpter are more than proving that fact.
