Honestly, I saw this pic somewhere else and just assumed it was the titanium kevlar monster, but looking at the legs it's something else. If the arms are actually articulated like that, I might have to check this out. Very cool, and I love the paint job!
hmm... no missile clips and no wheels on the feet....it's not a machinder... but at least they;'re trying....if they decide to do some villains that'll be sweet but...
Judging from the poster in the background, it seems my dream has come true. I only waited a few months, luckily and yes I think it is the Urban Material Mazinger sprayed in anime colours or as the Japanese call it Normal Color.
Now I have a little question to ask: What is the true colour of the new Hover Pileder? I bought mine from HobbyLink Japan assuming it was red (as advertised) but when I opened the box I was truly shocked - mine was purple!!!
This is not the first time Bandai cheated me!
I also felt cheated on GX-44 Tetsujin 28. All photos showed the robot as having metallic blue hands and fists but in reality Bandai gave us a robot with unpainted blue plastic hands and fists.
I don't think it's the UMC... the UMC doesn't seem to have the little flair piece of black where the abdomen and chest meet like the Jumbo shown does, and there doesn't seem to be any jointwork on the legs of this new figure, whereas the UMC clearly has at least sculpted fake joints at the hips, if not hips similar to the early SOC's.
EDIT: The breast heat-sinks are totally different as well... I think the UMC is closer to the classic Mazinger Z, and this new figure is 100% Shin Mazinger.
As you all probably know by now, this is a badass new anniversary release of the Jumbo Machinder. Over 24", super articulated, and supposedly a Rocket Punch feature that fires!!!
I am so getting this even if the tag is around $350

Just checked the pics thoroughly again and I think you are right.
This is a large Shin Mazinger.
Most probably a soft vinyl 60cm masterpiece like the ones by High Dream.
Oh I love High Dream sooooooooooooo much!!!!!
Has anyone of you bought the new Pileder?
I'm still curious.
Is it red or purple?
