The problem is, Japanese toys appeal primarily to collectors, and not kids, while here in America, it's just the opposite. What you're asking for would require a fundamental culture shift that isn't likely to happen in yours or my lifetimes.

Also keep in mind that the toy industry is very different in japan since the birth rate is low so there are not a lot of children so Toy company's have to cater to the adult collector and the hard working Japanese parent that want to get there moneys worth when there are buying a toy for there kids so that they will last,

Were as we buy a toy cheap so that are wallets and are Kids are happy, specially in this economy, but it comes at a price, High quality materials and paint detail have to be sacrifice to keep the cost down. And that what toy company's have to do to make a profit, to so I cheap it is so they buy it.

I remember when Jungle fury line came out DX jungle bride was siting it shelfs while the transforming Jungle bride sold like hot cakes because of the $25 price tag.

so in others words''you get what you pay for''

The japanese versions are

The japanese versions are much more expensive in japan than the US version is in the US. To maintain the 29.99 pricepoint, they had to re-tool it to be simpler for the US market. Megazord prices have not gone up in 10 or so years. A new Megazord, at retail in japan, is about $60-70 USD. Would the US market bear that? not likely.
