Destroy All Podcasts ST Episode 4 - Summer Nostalgia with Darkwing Duck, Archie: Return to Riverdale, and More

Hosts: Andrew, Jeremy

This is about sucking gas, evildoer, unresolved sexual tension, Tim Curry, and getting sued by a fat orange cat.

Click [HERE] to remember what it was like to be on summer vacation, eating hot dogs, playing Nintendo, and watching cartoons all day.

I edited this many months after posting it because I found some pictures of the Archive movie. They are now after the cut.

When originally aired on TV, the title was Archie: To Riverdale and Back.

For some reason, when they released it on video they changed the name to Archie: Return to Riverdale. Actually, that title reflects the content a lot better so I guess that's why they did that.

That "house style" was so in

That "house style" was so in vogue for that time, hard to think that was just over 15 years ago when it was like that (and me trying to grow out of cartoons while in high school).

Since you were not too big into Archie, I could say a tad more about it myself since there had been a cartoon show that first aired in 1968 where the song "Sugar Sugar" came from, but since we have the net, I don't think I would have to say much about that. Just know that it was the same in the comics that they were pulling in the movie with that Archie love triangle crap. Wasn't too big into Archie myself aside from having a buttload of issues in my collection.

I remember Ducktales,

I remember Ducktales, Darkwing Duck and that whole Disney AfterToons thing. Still I loved Gargoyles, a dark mythological drama, which was sandwiched between Goof Troop and some other happy Disney show

Hmm I kind of remember the old TMNT, I bought some kind of stretchy Turtle Ninja, all I remember was some kind of Easter special I did like the 2k3 remake, yeah the show wasn't as dark as it should have been, but then it tired to ape anime by having the Turtles yell out their attacks and other weird shenanigans ....

Oh there was an Adams Family live-action show in the 90's too... I remember the gloomy girl drew a black rainbow...

and finally Tim Curry was also the freakin clown from "IT"!!! ... I think
