Destroy All Podcasts DX Episode 393 - Only God Forgives

I feel like the actual title outta be "An Eye for An Eye", given the way the Bangkok Police operates.

It kinda reminded me of something I once was subjected to at a young age back in the 80's I never forgot (though rather muddled these days). Some guy came in the gym and show off slides of a trip he had taken to Morocco or some other Northern African country to all of us present in the school. It seemed the atmosphere was to suggest America was the best country in the world and everyone else was living in terror and poverty, and I suppose coming from the end of the Cold War, this was still prevalent to say the least. I don't recall the specifics of this presentation (besides perhaps that children could not go to school and were forced into work early on), one painful image I never forgot involved some sort of a "tooth puller", who would pull people's teeth out as they sat on a bed of other people's teeth. I guess that gave me a fear of dentists more than anything else. You outta stick that in one of your comics, Jer! Have some random hobo in 'Frisco who goes around pulling people's teeth for the promise of a quick buck he ends up spending on booze anyway.
