Hosts: Andrew, Jeremy
This is about operatic tragedy, pretty pretty princesses, SPACE THUNDER, and getting kicked off of earth.
This is also about Tech Romancer, an arcade robot fighting game featuring mecha designs by Kawamori and Miyatake, the mecha designers for Macross.

Awww, poor Roboizer. He's like Grendizer, only crappy.
She's so fancy.
Now here's some Tech Romancer.
He's a tough guy.
But she could still kick his ass.
And now, for the finishing touch. The unlockable anime styled intro for Tech Romancer.

oh HELL yes! me and a friend of mine played tech romancer to death on my dreamcast back in the day. my favorites were g-kaiser and blodia.
BLODIA KICK!!
If there's one thing I've never understood about the english version of Tech Romancer (besides the utterly nonsensical title. Seriously, Tech Romancer? Are we paying homage to William Gibson?) is the way they renamed Kikaioh to G.Kaiser. What the hell does the G stand for and how does G.Kaiser relate to a name that literally means, "Machine King?" It boggles the mind.

Uh, Neuromancer was like a pun on necromancer, and Tech Romancer is also a pun on necromancer. Notice the way it rhymes with necromancer and does not rhyme with neuromancer.
It is a stupid name, I agree.
Also, I'm pretty sure the G in G. Kaiser is Great, like Great Mazinger, not that that is any reason not to use the name Kikaioh. I mean, it's just as foreign as anythingkaiser, if that's your concern.

I object to that fact that the edit was pointless and stupid especially when they didn't bother to dub the game so Kikaioh's pilot is constantly screaming KIKAIOOOOOOOOOH! It's that retarded "foreign names are bad" bullshit.
-Andrew
"Kaiser" is still a foreign word.
-Jeremy
Well a Japanese word then :p
