Destroy All Podcasts DX Episode 241 - Hana-bi a.k.a. Fireworks
Hosts: Aby, Bowie, D'Arcy, Jeremy, Mike
This is about wives with cancer and no names, tough guys with heart, and painting.
Click [HERE] to stab a Yakuza thug in the eye with chopsticks.
Pics and video after the cut.
The American poster/DVD cover makes it look like the movie is non-stop violence.
The American trailer also makes it look like non-stop violence.
The Japanese trailer is a lot more true to the actual film, a sensitive art film crossbred with a violent gangster movie.

BTW he is still big in Japan he appears every day on TV.
About sports anime I been watching Hajime no Ippo, also a boxing anime, and I would like to review it. Anyway, there is also much characterization of the opponents and main characters, and is one of the few animes that I think don't portray african americans in a bad way (check episodes 13-15).
Yeah, Takeshi still appears on TV.
Even though he is busy on joining regular TV programs and making films, and caring his disciples(?), he sometimes appears on TV even for short, like a cheap comedian wearing a stupid full-body suit and/or absurd make-up.
I mean, he still loves...how can I say...being a cheap comedian.
A interesting fact is that...he is a very very silent man in his actual life.
I had a friend who was his "okkake".
According to my friend, he was just like, he was so shy that he wasn't able to talk to girls.
