Per Josh, I have edited the picture on the main page. It still is there after the cut. Also per Josh, being an Asian film based on an anime, it is on topic to CDX and can therefore be on the main page.
Good show. I enjoyed the animated movie, but felt that it suffered a little from all the false swerves it took. For example,
*spoiler alert for a red herring*
some of the red herrings were more interesting than the actual resolution. The idea that the main character was the victim of a sexual assault and had created a fantasy world for herself where the incident was just a scene from a movie she starred in was a cool twist I didn't see coming. The fact that this explanation was just misdirection kind of disappointed me, especially when the actual ending turned out to be far less plausible.
On another note, Captain Power and the Soldiers of the Future on DVD in December!

Thank you guys! I now have the song from this movie stuck in my head. I had completely forgotten about it until I watched the video clip.
I had a dream two nights ago that Mamoru Oshii directed a terrible live-action remake of Do You Remember Love and I can't help but think this is somehow your fault, Jeremy.
Believe it (or not) but when Plus and 7 were in development they were also working out a live action Macross movie Final Outpost Earth
