3 comments postedMy favorite part of this episode is that the Dinobots are built in no more than twenty minutes. They were literally built in the time it took for Soundwave and Reflector to return to Decepticon Headkorters (Megatron's special word for "Headquarters"). My second favorite thing is that the Autobots approach the power plant from a very steep cliff with clearly no way to get down. I seem to remember them doing that a lot in the show.
"Grimlock's New Brain" is great. "Call Of The Primitives" is also a good episode for Grimlock.
Grimlock and Slag regularly breath fire, though Slag MUCH more so. It is his job. Sludge and Snarl do it sometimes, though both prefer to just bludgeon people. Swoop has a rarely-used laser inside his mouth, but uses his bombs more often... or just flies through things.
This is not counting laser horns, laser tails, laser eyes, robot mode guns or Grimlock's favorite weapon... his teeth. ^_^
Hearing of Donald Glut's view of writing these episodes made me wonder how many other writers of 80's cartoons probably thought the same way of what they were doing. I'm sure it was all obvious but you do have perhaps one or two guys who probably had a little more care or interest in these shows while the rest just did it for the paycheck.
