Galaxy Rangers

I always had high regards for TMS Animation. From Ulysses 31 to Bionic Six--TMS always made high-quality animation in the 80s IMO. The one that's most notable for it's craft is Mighty Orbots, one of the most undeserved obscure shows ever. This I got to say about Galaxy Rangers--I swear everytime I watch this show, I feel like that I'm watching an animated space-fi music video. The way they animated it has that 80s music video vibe to it which is pretty cool for a space western like this.

I liked Galaxy Rangers better than Saber Rider--for some reason, I can't really get into that Cowboy Voltron kind of show except for it's theme song. That song is so cool.

The 80s animation everyone SHOULD remember

It's kind of unfortunate, really, that what everyone remembers is He-Man, Transformers, and GI Joe, when there was stuff that was reasonably good (this, and Bionic Six).

I do know that B6 came on at a really weird time in my area--it was something like 9 AM on Sunday, which meant that I almost never got to see it because we were going to church. Indeed, I think I saw it more often at my grandmother's beach house than at my own house!

Ulysses 31 and Bionic Six

Ulysses 31 and Bionic Six never had a chance in the LA area for time slots.

Serious, Ulysses 31 came on at 5:00am in the morning weekdays, I remember because I had to be at Jr high school by 7:00am and Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors was on at 6:00am and there was another cartoon on between them. As much as I wanted to watch it, U31 was on way to early for any kid to follow.

Bionic Six I remember never had a set schedule and jumped around a lot, but it was on at 6:00am, again too early for any kid to become a fan of the show.

Sadly both cartoons I wanted to watch but they were just on too early for any kid to follow.

Oh, I didn't know you were going to post this!

I wanted to do some research into the production people and make a supplementary comment. I'll do that later today after I get home from work.

Another notable show from TMS

Yes! This was definitely one of the more obscure shows from my youth. All the 30somethings are screaming about Transformers, He-Man, and Thundercats, but thats because those shows were rammed down our little throats. What really made me decide to get into animation was stuff like this and Bionic 6, because these shows had moments where the animation got really good. This show has the design of 80's anime with the style of American action movies.

Galaxy Rangers

I love Galaxy Rangers. Oddly enough I just got the complete series on dvd today. I used to have 5 of the 6 figures they prouced but stupidly I sold them on Ebay a couple years back. If anyone has some fo sale I would be very interested, desperately searching for a figure of Shane Gooseman he was my favourite in the cartoon and of the figures.
