Another good cast, and this

Another good cast, and this really reminds me why Muppets Treasure Island is so awesome, you know asidee from the old film from the 60's.

What's this, whats this, there's white stuff in the air.

Muppets

Yeah, I mean, Muppet Treasure Island isn't perfect and is probably not to the level of the old Muppet movies from when Jim Henson was still alive, but there's still some shining moments in it.

Susan Blu

I feel bad laughing at you guys rip on Susan Blu, because she's such a nice person. But it's true, she has the same voice no matter what role she does. You can always tell it's her.

Blu

Well, I like Susan Blu a lot. I mean, she's Arcee after all! This was just a lame project for all involved.

Trying to compete with Burger King?

Back in the late eighties Burger King introduced the whole "Kids Club" thing, with a bunch of Wacky Zany Animated Characters in ethnically- and gender-diverse profusion.

Kid Vid

Yeah, I remember that. I liked Kid Vid, the video game character who had like a faux Power Glove or something. But still, I think this predates Burger King's characters and certainly the whole McDonaldland stuff does -- it goes back to the '70s.

It does, you can evidence of

It does, you can evidence of the old McDonaldland commercials on YouTube otherwise. Burger King tried to cash in on that with creating a Ronald clone of their own in the late 70's.

Not the McDonaldland idea, but this particular product

I don't mean the McDonaldland crew, but rather the idea of changing them from costumed Sid-And-Marty-Krofft clown characters into animated entities.

You're right. Animating

You're right. Animating them was the next step (as if we needed it). Reminded of a later video where they got Klasky-Csupo to produce it, so Ronald ended up looking all weird in that one.

Incidentally here's how low Burger King would stoop!

Incidentally, O.G. Readmore

Incidentally, O.G. Readmore is a cat. I remember him a bit too fondly from the 80's.
