Captain Jack Sparrow in minifig form? I"m down for that. Lego was showing off the Pirates of the Caribbean line-up which includes sets from all the films and not just the latest entry, On Stranger Tides.
The collection seems to consist mainly of medium-sized sets. Apparently, all the sets will include posters and trading cards that will (according to the press material) unlock online content.
While period piece play-sets and Jack Sparrow mini figs are nice what folks really want from a Lego Pirate theme is, of course, Pirate ships and Lego has them. Out on display was Blackbeard's Queen Anne's Revenge (from the new film) and it was huge! Also listed as coming in November but not out on display is the Black Pearl. I look forward to checking that out.

Who knows- maybe Belleville will get a merfolk palace-or-something (not that I follow Belleville, mind you, as it's primarily a girls-oriented LEGO line). I know future LEGO Pirate lines could use them for figureheads too.
Never been into LEGO Pirates (or any of the PotC movies), so nothing here will appear in my collection.
