I used to collect these

I used to collect these figures, but you can never find them at retail any more. I like that Guy Gardner, and Kamandi and Batwoman are pretty sweet too.

Who wants to bet there'll be some controversy with Walmart refusing to stock the Batwoman figure? :(

I like her just fine,but I

I like her just fine, but I can see some mouthbreather getting wind of a gay character having an action figure and causing a big stir. Remember when Walmart pulled that pregnant Barbie because it didn't have a wedding ring?

That Batwoman figure has

That Batwoman figure has been available since 2008. It's a repack.

It caused a slight stir then, which was quickly stamped out within days of the figure getting announced. I haven't seen too much furvor about the Batwoman character on the crazy-people front, I think a lot of that debate happened before the character debuted.

I never collected the DCU

I never collected the DCU line. After the 2nd wave, when I asked a Target employee if they had any in stock, and his brazen reply was that he was buying them to sell to "supplement his income" then I knew I would never, ever see this line at retail. And since then, I have been right.

Mattel has had this bad distro problem for some time now... it's at this point obviously corporate mandate and not mistakes or popularity. They have been holding back/shipping wrong product to generate online buzz for MOTUC and DCU since these lines started. It's a little sketchy when they run a SDCC contest and two of the winners were big-name online DCU shillers. It's even worse when they make heavy fan-requested items and products available online, then say "sold out" minutes after they go up, then only to find them up again weeks later, or to have your own order canceled and for the same item to show up in droves the next day at an online store for double the price.

So I started getting those Infinite Heroes toys and I like them far better than any of the more collector focused lines. Maybe it's the scale, maybe it's the better availability. I just like those better.
