Rocking coverage, Atom!

I had very little time available to me on the show floor, so I didn't get much of a chance to peruse the Underground Toys booth. I took a quick look around and was a little disappointed to see mostly things that're already on store shelves. Your coverage, however, goes a lot deeper. I'd only briefly heard about the 3' voice-activated Dalek--it's great to see that coming along. Also, some of the other items (like the pocket watch) I didn't even know about! Very cool stuff.

Heh...since they're planning on doing Torchwood stuff, I'd better get on watching the show, huh?? ;)

Let me just add a few extra

Let me just add a few extra comments -

That replica watch? The silver one is about $20. The metal one? About $200. Both work (as watches that is).

Torchwood figures are coming, but will be 7-inch instead of 6-inch for some odd reason...

Oh, and that dalek - thats a REAL screen used Dalek....

Cool Stuff

These are pretty cool toys. I picked up the Dalek Sec figure in the Metreon in San Francisco about a week ago and it looks great. Way better than the old Dr. Who toys from the 90's. Nice and spooky alien nazi blob in armor. I really would like to get the Dalek that splits open and has the blob inside, though!

Reminds me of Action Fleet.

Those Micro Universe pieces remind me of the old Action Fleet line, right down to the packaging. I really miss that line, it was perfect for an affordable toy that had cool little detail features and included figures, yet everything could be in scale (somewhat) with the others. A very under-appreciated line.

It's crazy to see Doctor Who so huge after a few decades of cult status. Any sight of that 12" Tom Baker figure shown a couple years ago? It had an uncanny likeness and looked finished.

A Dalek that takes orders from a human? IMPOSSIBLE! EXTERMINATE!
