Great show! As for the

Great show! As for the Ultimetal Optimus there's a couple members at Robot-Japan thinking about getting it and they are not celebrities (as far as I know) with more money then brains. True $800 is a lot for a single figure and probably way to much for your typical Transformer fan who buys Hasbro Transformers from their local Wal-mart. But for those who collect Takara Transformers and 3rd party stuff it's a stretch but feasible. My main collecting focus is Super Robots and lines like SOC's, SRC;s, Brave Gokins ect. But I also do collect Transformers, more specifically Masterpieces and 3rd party figures that can fit in with that line. This year alone I've probably spent over a grand on Transformer stuff and still have a lot more stuff coming. $800 for a single figure is a lot but when your paying over $500 for a non-official Predaking or $450 for a non-official Menasor both with zero metal except for the screws, a fully licensed 17" tall diecast Optimus with lights and sounds seems almost reasonable even if it doesn't transform. There are buyers, many have pre-paid $1200 for the Fewture Getters that essentially are non-canon designs that have appeared nowhere except in the mind of Master Sato, but people want because it looks "cool". I see this Optimus in the same vein as vintage toys, those who would want to spend hundreds to thousands on a 30+ year old toy you can't really take out of the box and are pretty close disintegrating but just want it. No logical reason but they are willing to spend the money to get one.

Chen apparently we have the same shopping habits.....

I buy all the same stuff AND I will definitely be getting the Ultimetal Prime. It looks like they are really going for broke and I am fully on board with adding something as aggressive as this to my collection $800 is nothing I will be into this for well over $900 with shipping. Saying price is an issue is silly let me say this Josh was gushing and gushing over the Miracle Vehicle Voltron pre-production models and I was totally psyched. (It's not Josh's fault Miracle is a gaggle of idiots who have no business making toys) Well let's just say I bought 2 at 300 each. They suck and suck in a way I have no desire to get into again. If I blew $600 on that POS I have no trouble giving Artstorm $800 for a gigantic metal Prime.

Warbot Steel Core is not

Warbot Steel Core is not Warbot Defender its an understandable error.

I feel both Steel Core and the Glacialord/Glacialbots are both FansProject's attempt to do new characters/IPs as much as possible.

Both of those things are

Both of those things are still recognizably Transformers though. It's not like something like Armarauders or Acid Rain where it's a toyline based on original designs.
