Josh and Adam condense 4 days of Toy Fair into an hour and half and talk about what was hot and not this year. Pay attention there are more than a few surprises in store...
I have a feeling that the big Bandai news is that they got WEP to finally allow them to make SOC versions of both Voltrons/Golion/Dairugger. Which would be perfect timing because isn't Voltron's 30th coming up soon? I'm also guessing Danguard will be released soon or at least there will be more promotional pictures, perhaps there will be a increase in size since a lot of people are disappointed in it's relatively small stature. I also think that 2' tall Metroplex is Hasbo/Takara giving 3rd party companies the finger in saying we can make a 2' tall Transformer with lights and sounds for less then a quarter you guys would charge. But I see a general shift in North American toys becoming more like Japanese ones, in that sculpts and paint aps are getting better. It's a testament when you bother to look at the pictures of toy lines just to see what's new when you don't even like it but are still impressed.
Hmmm interesting. Well then I guess it could just be Lion Voltron then which in a way is a blessing. I already paid for the Miracle Vehicle Voltron over a year ago so that could possibly save me from getting two toys of the same character. That is if the Miracle Production Voltron ever see's the light of day.
BTW was it announced if the Hasbro MP Soundwave and Acidstorm would be TRU exclusives? I hope not I know there are a ton of collectors who had a hell of time getting MP Prime with many more still unable to get one unless they go to the secondary market and grab their ankles.
At the last Summit, I bought some vintage Kenner Star Wars figures from Roger. Since then, I've slowly been adding a few more here and there and I now have about 25 and counting. A month or so ago, I was at Josh's, looking through the Star Action figures book he bought and I asked him if they ever made Kenner style figures of the newer characters and he said something like "No, their sales people say that's not what collector's want". So I think it's funny that all of a sudden now it's happening. I know I'll be all over them.
.... trying not to spill the beans - but wanting to.
Oh and Adam I hate you.... for your sister buying you a TRU MP Prime. I bitched to TRU Canada about not carrying them, but they are considered a separate company from TRU US. Thanks for the info on Soundwave MP with the 5 cassettes. Lemme know when it surfaces, cause I only follow this site and show regularly thanks.
As for Grayskull I was so tempted to pre-order, but I decided after what they did to Voltron to wait... cause they will just find a way to screw it up.... and low and behold.
Yeah, cancel your orders on it... I was thinking maybe its the cost of plastic too with them - then it dawned on me.
They make a crappy Grayskull sell it and make a profit cause like you said their hardcore fans will just eat it up. And two years later after all the crappy Grayskulls are sold, they'll go and release the Grayskull we see in the foam mockups.
From the photos I'm psyched about the Figma (I think) Terry Bogard from the video game King of Fighters & Fatal Fury series. I also hoping Hasbro changes the paint scheme on the Marvel Legends Classic Hawkeye (Finally) and I'll pick up the Classic Black Panther. Also to my surprise a nice looking Marvel Legends scale Ultron from the Iron man 6 inch series, which flew under the radar.

I am so super stoked with everything Hasbro's doing. As I've said before many times, I want those 6-inch Black Series figures in my mouth.
And I just now realized how dirty that sounded.
