Great show as always guys. Also, i totally agree with you Josh, while Batman is a very recognizable character in the comics world it seems very shocking to me that the one character who is famous for having a suit or armor, namely Ironman, has very few if any die cast figure representations of him. Makes me wish Hot Toys would get into the Die Cast game already.

haha, gives ya goosebumps

haha, gives ya goosebumps just thinkin about it right? to be honest, i wasnt much of a collector when i bought my very first Hot Toys Ironman and was under the impression that it was all die cast metal. You can imagine my disappointment when i got home and thought i got cheated with a cheap knockoff when i discovered it was all plastic :(. Granted that was the Mark III armor, the plastic on the newer models have a much more of a glossy and almost metallic look.

Then again, If Bandai can go from the small mostly plastic SRC robots to the gigantic soon to be released all die cast DX Mazinger ,then i say anything's possible :D

MP Transformers

The Binaltech line only had diecast for the first half of the line. About halfway through they had to drop the diecast and then they terminated the line after just over a year because it wasn't selling. Then you had the whole Kiss player thing that tried to revive it again without Diecast and it did even worse. They were only 800 yen cheaper then Lambor is currently being sold for releasing at 4980 yen a pop and the price didn't drop when the diecast got yanked. The lack of rubber tires is kind of annoying, but the diecast I can due without though the lack of rubber tires is a disappointment.

As for repaints they are kinda limited with the mold unless they want to start making new characters. You can get a G2 repaint as mentioned, and possibly a diaclone black version I could see. You do have the Red Alert figure coming out early next year which is a decent remold and repaint as well. Sunstreaker was actually a completely different mold with a completely different transformation scheme. To get him looking anywhere close to right would require so much remolding I'd expect a new mold would be cheaper.

But as you menion they have no lack of repaint oppurtunities with the Prime mold and they will use it till it falls apart. Prime will be repainted to death because they know it sells. I believe the Nemesis Prime style black repaint is already slated.

But the fact that MP Soundwave, and two sets of MP cassettes are coming next year makes a good time for Transformers Masterpiece collectors with at least four new molds. Between Soundwave himself, the laserbeak/buzzsaw, Rumble/Frenzy, and Ravage molds.

This was a good episode, and definitely worth saving.
Thanks for the daring rescue, Atom. It hasn't gone unappreciated.

Thanks for letting me sit in

Thanks for letting me sit in and more importantly for working so hard to make sure it even got posted! I wish was more in tune with some of the newer toys out there and could have had more input on them, but it was a fun experience regardless.

Have you seen the Tomica tokusatsu shows?

Tomica Hero FIre Rescue and Rescue Force are tokusatsu shows aimed at young kids---the cast warns viewers not to sit too close to the tv and to watch it with the lights on to avoid seizures. But rather than bad martial arts, you get to witness complex modular vehicles combine to form metropolis-like car transporters, yell "Go!" and then SHOOT OTHER CARS INTO THE AIR (which turn into ice) to fight things like fire dragons. A little goes a long way, but it's crazy and fun in small doses. Plus, fun costumes.

Nice show once again. I enjoyed and agreed with Josh's second question regarding the armored Jim Lee Batman. "Why?"
