I struggle with this issue. My collection is closing in on me yet I spend way too much time (and money) just trying to add to it. On the other hand, although I do not collect specifically as an investment, I'm well aware of my financial standing in life and know that someday this stuff may end up keeping me off the streets. Basically, I suspect that eventually the day will come when I must change from strict collector to dealer and it'll be good to have extra "stock". So if I do see a good value on something I think may make a profit down the line, I'll grab it even if it's not something I focus on. Then, of course, I start to focus on more like it and the "problem" grows!
