I should throw a West Coast CDX event, or do one the day before Comicon when you guys are out here.

Send me a swag bag if you could! Have fun!

Cheers

In the gallery

Page 1, in the photo on the bottom-right, is that a Japanese DX Victory Mars I see there? Is it still all there, not particularly broken or anything? And a DX Grand Liner! Of course- ya can't have one without the other. ^_^

Page 2, bottom-right: that's a Pontiac Solstice- the same type of all-silver car used for Jazz's alternate mode in Bayformers! I thought they were yanked from production because GM fell through?

Page 5, middle-right: got enough Glyos, Josh? What is that- one of each in there?

The Glyos are Mason's... basically one of everything with some customs and special figs mixed in.

A collection, a bunch of honest, understanding friends sharing the same hobby, food and drink - what more could a man want in life?

I think I should go out and buy display furniture for my collection of anime-related items as my room looks more like a warehouse!

Thanks to all who helped organize this event, especially Mason,& Jessie, who hosted, and fed us toy geeks for a whole day.
Thanks JoshB, and Shogundan, VF5SS, Atom, Nekrodave, Anavel, AlenYen, Mark, mcfitch, Prometheum5, Sanjeev, and everyone else for bringing an astounding amount of awsome toys you'll not see in one place elsewhere, and making some great deals for me on some awsome toys.

Great day enjoying the company of eveybody that came. I can't tell you how glad I am that this was a bunch of people that like to move around and talk. No sitting quietly in a corner being awkward at this party! Everyone seemed welcoming to newcomers, and even the toy widows were made to feel included, haha!

I hope I've got this right, but I think people came from MA, NH, CT, NY, PA, DC, and KY!
Just a great day.

That was a lot of fun! It was my first time going to one and I really enjoyed hanging with people who shared my love of toys!

3 things:

1.Hopefully one day I'll go to one of these things. I'm not really a diehard collector by any means, but I wouldn't mind hanging out and bs-ing about mecha-related stuff with you guys.

2.JoshB is sporting the same Voltron shirt I have. I think we must shop at the same Paris boutique. I'm surprised I've never run into him there.

3. I think of myself as an anime fan,and a little more than a casual one at that. But Jesus Christ, that mohawk guy with the FULL BACK GRENDIZER TATTOO?!?! That's a fan. Also that poster above me with the modern Gaiking. Some of you people go above and beyond.

I had a great time there. Giant big thanks and props to repairtechjon for hauling my ass to boston. It was a blast to ride up and talk with him. Loved the burgers, Mason. I will get that spicy burger recipe from you some how. Everyone was super friendly. Dug everyone I met. I will be doing some kinda write up. Jon suggested I write an adventure report since I came all the way from KY to attend. So till a proper blog/post/thing, big thanks to everyone!

It's all good; you know the rest of the country thinks we're a bunch of shoeless, toothless hillbillies regardless of what part of Kentucky we’re from. I grew up just outside of Louisville and in a county known for being wealthy and country, I’m neither. I‘ve managed to go to a Broadway show and a barn dance. I have Hank III, Die Warzu and Tom Waits in my MP3 player. Suffice to say that Kentucky is complicated. It’s nice to hear of a fellow toy nut here. Everyone I know here that likes toys is invariably a StarWars only collector.

I just added 18 more photos to the gallery, including a shot of the custom painted Gobon Mason did for Alen.

Don't worry about the short video, Josh. If you were too busy enjoying yourself to film, that tells everyone all they really need to know. :)

Looking back, I realize that I should have brought my own demo/trade table to help out. This in NO way is any compaint, Mason & Josh made accomodation with several tables. It's just that especially after the Laserion review posted, I realize I should have made more display/play area effort. There were several whimsical mechanical toys, and that Laserion DX set that never made it out of my truck.

Didn't care about sales really, but especially with some newer collectors attending, I really meant to have some stuff set out for anyone to mess with, they may not have seen in person before. I know I sure got my hands on toys that I always wanted to see. My first summit, loved it, live & learn. Next time I'll bring my own play area, LOL!
