aCDX fan service?

Josh,

So that you can answer this in front of everyone here...

Knowing how anime female figures work (like when dealing with moe), how will aCDX deal with "fan service" n' such?

Also, will it be possible to transfer a review, etc from CDX to aCDX and vice versa? What about posting to both sites with the same materials?

To answer some questions -

To answer some questions -

Fan service will be ok, but blatant naughty bits will be censored out.

Reviews can be transfered from one to another but it is a manual process.

Also, some content will be duplicated if it applies to both.

Re: To answer some questions -

Okay, done.

I've just done my little bit for aCDX by shifting over the two Extra Mermaid Figure Rei and Asuka reviews from CDXHQ. Hopefully they'll get a better reception there than they did here.
I believe these are the first original content for the site...?

...And chances are, they'll be the only contribution(s) I make to the [new] site; seeing as it covers figures, and figures aren't my forte.

Okay- guess I gotta be that guy

Okay- guess I gotta be that guy since I've heard that term used before on other sites...

When you say "naughty bits" do you mean that nipples are okay to see, or do they need to be cleverly covered by hair, arms & hands, or other object? In other words, can a female appear 100% topless, or- staying with CDX's PG-13 policies- do they need to be covered in some fashion?

Also, can a female be bottomless, and yet not showing her externally-visual sexual organ? And- where applicable- does this also apply to male figures?

Well, I'll be discreet and

Well, I'll be discreet and say that other site(s) that I involve myself in have had similar debates before, so I know what to look for when it comes to the line in the sand for nudity.

Now THIS is going to be a

Now THIS is going to be a tricky one. Transformers Cybertron/RID/Armada/Energon and more. Gundams. Macross. Most of Revoltech and many more. Technically these are anime-based figure too.

How are you going to decide which belongs where?

I think anime-based figures

I think anime-based figures means "no robots." Babes, Haruhi statues, etc. Stuff like Busou Shinki would probably fall under the main site, because they are cool robot toys with female pilots.

If CDX didn't cover anime based robots there wouldn't be a website, it
would just be urban vinyl and Sentai :p

Nidaram's got it right.

Nidaram's got it right. Mecha, robots, sci-fi will go here on CDX. Anime figures that are related to thhe core CDX matter (Say, a Maria Fleed statue, or yoko from gurren lagann) will appear on both, but other stuff will only be on the anime site.

I don't really get this at

I don't really get this at all. 95% of CDX is anime toys. Lately there's been some Star Wars and G.I. Joe stuff, but it's certainly not the majority. So how is a Haruhi figure an "anime figure" and a Dix Neuf figure "not an anime figure"? Because one is a robot? That's the weirdest distinction. "Mecha anime" is still ANIME,isn't it? Besides,it's not like there isn't crossover interest. I doubt there's anyone in the world who ONLY watches anime if it has a robot.

Put another way, aCDX

Put another way, aCDX focuses on characters, not built-things like robots, vehicles, etc. If it's human-sized and looks humanoid, it'll go on aCDX. If it's mecha, it goes here.
