TOYSREVIL'S I LIKE TOYS - 12 December, 2014 - 00:50
With the teaser trailer still fresh in our collective minds, and beyond a myriad of memes, parodies and fanart since then, comes the REVEAL of some of the film characters' NAMES via "trading cards"? Pod Stallions Episode 25: The Empire Struck

Plaid Stallions - 12 December, 2014 - 00:00
It's been nearly two years since we discussed all things Star Wars and what better time than when we all got teased with the further adventures of Luke Skywalker and crew.

Episode 25 takes us back to that fateful summer when the most highly anticipated film of our lives (at the time, it's been replaced by "Glitter" now) landed. It's a tumultuous time when we first discovered the word "Spoiler" (thank you Marvel comics!) and the heart break of us watching the bad guys win.

Of course along the way we discuss kenner action figures, competitive collecting, modern fandom, battle beyond the stars, Jason's fondness for the Ewoks  and give absolutely no opinion on the current trailer.

My handmade Numakuro figure!

HobbySearch Blog - 11 December, 2014 - 23:54
Hi Tominon here.

Recently on twitter many Numakuro pictures has been uploaded!
I’ve been looking for his figure but I still can't find...

Where is he? How can I meet him?( つД`)・゚・。・゚゚・*:.。..。.:*・゚

Well, no choice. I will make by myself.

Mr.clay

So I’m going to show you how to make a Numakuro figure!
Here are materials!
I used this clay couple of times on this blog so far.
A modeling clay with soft texture which can be shaped with a knife and file after drying out.
It’s the best for making figures so I’m keeping some stocks all the time!(ノ∀`)

【Tools】
●Acrylic Gouache
●Sand papers
●Design knife
●Photo of Numakuro

【Making Numakuro 101】
Making a clay ball.

Shaping roughly and drying out. Then making its surface smooth with a design knife and sand paper.

Paint the lighter color first.

Drawing lines with a marker pen on the edges and…he’s ready!(∩´∀`)∩
(´-`).。oO(Isn’t he slightly different from an original image? Looks he is smiling...)

Numakuro from back!
His unique sloping shoulders has been sculpted!

Then, let's play with him reproducing those memorable images on twitter! (´∀`)b

Running out all his money with capsule toy.

“No way… Is today a holiday?”

Hesitating to join in the conversation with major Pokemons.

The last train has gone.

“You are fired, Numakuro.”

Numakuro comes to Super Mario World accidentally.

Dayo: I'm gonna leave you behind, Numakuro!

Numakuro waiter glares at troublesome customers.

No lunch mate on the picnic.

Shizue: May I?
Numakuro: (She must be a big fan of me…) Sure!

Shizue: Just press a button on the right!
Numakuro:...

Stopped on the station gate.

Finding something extra ordinal in accident.

The battery runs out before saving data.

Michael in sorrow and helpless Numakuro.

Earphone jack accessory Numakuro.

One day, Numakuro realizes that he turned into Woody somehow.

So that's all for making and playing of Numakuro figure!

It’s so fun to reproduce those funny images with small accessories!

See you next time!

Cheap Toy Month - An innovation in Takara toys, by way of HK bootleg.

Gangustars - 11 December, 2014 - 21:42
Funny how a company can say they've hit a new stride in innovative toys when the original item actually appeared on shelves five years earlier, in another country, by a different company. Amazing how that works.

Here's another split ad, the top features Robotank Transformers, which are actually Takara Choro-Q toys of Votoms and Dougram characters. Below you have the dollar store mainstay, the magic feeding bottle. Give it to whoever made this simple toy first, cause while they may not be around, their product is.

Robots in Disguise 2015 Legion Class Quick In Hand Shots - Optimus, Bumblebee, Steeljaw, and Strongarm

Tformers - 11 December, 2014 - 20:31
Maruten has found the Legion Class first assortment in Canberra, Australia and has posted a few quick shots showing off the new toys. Optimus seems to be the weakest link of this batch, and Bumblebee looks only average, but Steeljaw and Strongarm look quite nice and could be worth picking up in addition to other larger versions of these characters. Maruten notes Strongarm's door wings do fold back in car mode despite not being pictured as such. Click through and check it all out!
