VIZ Media, LLC, the largest distributor and licensor of manga and anime in North America, celebrates the triumphant return of the SAILOR MOON anime series with a host of fun activities for SAILOR MOON Day, taking place on Saturday, July 5th during the 2014 Anime Expo. VIZ Media marks its acquisition of the iconic fantasy anime series with a SAILOR MOON Official Panel on Saturday morning at 10AM in LP1. Hosted by the company’s Senior Manager of Animation Marketing, Charlene Ingram, and SAILOR MOON Associate Producer, Joshua Lopez, the panel will reveal for the first time the brand new cast for the freshly produced English dub and premiere the first two dubbed episodes. Following the breakthrough success of the first RUROUNI KENSHIN (るろうに剣心, 2012) blockbuster, Madman is very pleased to announce the acquisition of the final two films in the RUROUNI KENSHIN live-action trilogy, KYOTO INFERNO (るろうに剣心 京都大火編, Rurouni Kenshin Kyoto Taika Hen, 2014) and THE LEGEND ENDS (るろうに剣心 伝説の最期編, Rurouni Kenshin Densetsu no Saigo hen, 2014) for release in Australia. After his ordeal with Jin-e Udo, Kenshin Himura's (Takeru Sato) brief period of peace is interrupted by the presence of Hajime Saito (Yousuke Eguchi), the former captain of the Shinsengumi who assumed an alias in Tokyo’s police force. With Megumi Takani's (Yu Aoi) freedom in the balance, Kenshin learns that he is being enlisted in a covert operation in the city of Kyoto. There, Kenshin deals with a small army under the leadership of a Hitokiri Battousai replacement who was deemed a great enough threat to the Meiji government’s stability that they attempted to burn him alive: Makoto Shishio (Tatsuya Fujiwara). Publisher Shogakukan Inc. will release the Toho Special Effects All Monster Encyclopedia (東宝特撮全怪獣図鑑, Toho Tokusatsu Zen Kaijuu Zukan) in Japan on July 23rd. Celebrating the 60th anniversary of Godzilla, this large picture book profiles Toho monsters, aliens and super-humans featured in Toho's FX movies, videos and television shows from the original GODZILLA (ゴジラ, 1954) to the new GODZILLA (2014). The Toho Special Effects All Monster Encyclopedia features hundreds of characters, from obvious selections such as Toho's top five monster stars -- Godzilla, Mothra, Rodan, King Ghidorah and Mechagodzilla -- to second-tier movie kaiju, obscure beasts, and also heroes and villains from TV series like RAINBOWMAN: PROFESSIONAL HITMAN (愛の戦士レインボーマン, Ai no Senshi Reinbooman, 1972-73), ZONE FIGHTER (流星人間ゾーン, Ryuusei Ningen Zoon, 1973) and GRANSAZERS (超星神グランセイザー, Chooseishin Guranseizaa, 2003-04). K MISSING KINGS American Theaters and Showtimes

LA based film distribution company ELEVEN ARTS in partnership with Japanese animation label STARCHILD, has released the first official theater and showtime list for their limited theatrical run of K MISSING KINGS (劇場版 K MISSING KINGS). The film is scheduled to be screened in over forty-five theaters beginning July 18th. Tickets will go on sale for most locations starting today, with more showtimes and dates to be announced at a later date. While supplies last, all valid ticketholders in attendance will be receiving an exclusive B4 sized movie program. For showtimes and tickets, visit the website at The U.S. theatrical premiere at Los Angeles' Downtown Independent will also feature a special guest appearance by voice actor Masakazu Morita and movie producer Go Nakanishi. In the movie, Morita plays the role of a new character Yukari Mishakuji, senior clansman to primary character Kuroh Yatogami under his former master Ichigen Miwa. Morita's most well known roles include Ichigo Kurosaki from the series BLEACH, and Barnaby Brooks Jr. in the TIGER & BUNNY franchise. The festivities included screenings of GODZILLA VS BIOLLANTE (ゴジラ VS ビオランテ, Gojira Tai Biorante, 1989) at the Aratani Theater and the “G in Jungle” event that featured a showing of the daikaiju short film THE GOD OF CLAY (ねんどの神さま, Nendo no Kamisama, 2009/2011), exclusive merchandise for sale, and a Q&A and autograph session with guests Koichi Kawakita (FX director of the Heisei Godzilla series) and Norihiko Iwasaki (producer and owner of the FX company Marbling Fine Arts).
